Mindset 177 - Lesson 8 - Money is Not a Dirty Word.png

Lesson 8 -

Money is not a dirty word,

STOP treating it like it is!

Experience has taught me that as a nation us Brits often view money as a dirty word, whereas other nations and cultures are considerably more comfortable talking about it.

It is bizarre really, money may not be able to buy happiness, love and friendship, it can, however, buy freedom and that is a big thing! Not knowing how you are going to pay your bills, put food on the table, a roof over your head and clothes on your back is very stressful.

In almost all circumstances having enough money so that you don’t worry and stress about being able to afford life’s necessities will do far more to improve your wellbeing and mental health than having enough money to buy a gleaming new car.

And what is often overlooked is that making money is fun. Being able to treat those around you feels good and that in turn boosts your mental health and wellbeing.

So, my lesson #8 of 39 is that Money is NOT a Dirty Word. Money is not the root of all evil. Not all rich people have cheated their way to the top. Rather, than criticising those who have put the work in and are reaping the rewards, we should celebrate their success.
