Lesson 13 -
There is no reset button in life.
There is no reset button in life, we can’t undo what has been done or take anything back, so what can we do?
Recognise,
The ripples of our actions today will have far reaching consequences
We do the best we can with the tools available
Sometimes the chips fall our way, sometimes they don’t
It’s a life lesson, not a life sentence
By replaying situation’s repeatedly in our heads, we torture ourselves over things we’ve said and done. If we had our time over, we may have done things differently. But that’s hindsight speaking.
Reflecting on what I’ve learnt from pivotal moments in my life, I feel a pang of frustration; outcomes of situations I found myself in, were often obvious, yet I didn’t them. I was caught in moment; I’d lost the ability to take a bird’s eye view. Looking back, the dots connected so effortlessly that my inability to see it astounds me.
The past is history, we can’t change it, but we can change our future...
Life isn’t about how many times you get knocked down; It’s about how many times you get back up! My 13th lesson is: There is no reset button. So, live every day like it’s your last, like there is no tomorrow. Savour the moments, they are all part of our journey.
